Aquanauts Ages 3 - 5 Years
Your Aquanauts' time on board will not only be fun, it will be educational too! They'll get to learn about local customs, do terrific science experiments and make great new friends. To participate, children must be fully potty-trained and 3 years of age as of the first day of the cruise. (No pull-ups or nappies, please.) You can rest assured your little ones are in good hands – every member of Royal Caribbean's Adventure Ocean® staff holds a college degree in education, recreation or a related field and has experience working with children aged 3-17.
Hours: At Sea: 09:00 hrs to noon, 14:00 hrs to 17:00 hrs and 19:00 hrs to 22:00 hrs. In Port: Thirty minutes prior to the first shore excursion to 17:00 or return of the last shore excursion, 19:00 to 22:00

- Adventure Art by Crayola® These activities acquaint children with diverse cultures through art. Children are introduced to mask making, fish kites and pottery. Crayola Adventure Art projects are specifically designed art activities for children of age 3-11. Using art as an avenue for exploration, the lesson plans provide a unique onboard experience for children, incorporating information about specific geographic locations with hands-on art. Crayola Art projects make creativity a part of every child's experience wherever they may travel.
- Sail into Story time These theme-related story time sessions bring each story to life with activities, discussions on each story and hands-on activities for the children to participate in following each reading.
- Adventure Theatre Blending educational activities with on-your-feet fun, Adventure Theatre participants get a first taste of the actor's craft, in which entire worlds are created with just their bodies, voices and imaginations. Using structured theatre games, vocal and physical exercises, and creativity-freeing activities, instructors guide groups through an exploration of the theatre arts.

Royal Babies Aged 6 - 18 Months
Set aside some special family time on board and join in the fun of the Royal Babies interactive classes held in one of the onboard lounges. These enriching activities have been developed by early childhood experts at Fisher-Price and are hosted by trained youth staff. A parent or caregiver MUST accompany children 6 to 36 months of age during all activity sessions.
Activities your Royal Baby might enjoy include:
- Musical Inspiration Treat your baby to the inspiration and joy of music, as Royal Caribbean introduces musical instruments and explore rhythm, movement and creativity through game play, songs, instruments, musical activities and toys.
- Baby Gymnastics Celebrate physical development and exciting milestones, encouraging your baby to get active with the help of Fisher-Price® Go-Baby-Go! toys, activities and games.
- Come To My House Reinforce early learning of simple concepts – like the alphabet, numbers, shapes and colours – with hands-on exploration of familiar things from everyday life, things you'll find in your own home, brought down to baby's size.
- Cookin' Up Fun Get set for a deliciously good time in the kitchen! You and your baby will enjoy playing and learning with food-related toys and activities – discovering early role play as well as early academics.
- I Love Animals This playgroup session introduces amazing discoveries about animals. Little ones will enjoy meeting a menagerie of adorable animal friends that encourage movement and celebration.
- How Does That Work? Babies' natural curiosity about the world around them leads to new discoveries and surprises each day. This playgroup session is full of ways to examine, discover, build and wonder.
Royal Tots Aged 18 to 36 Months
Join your child in the fun of Royal Tots, interactive playgroup sessions developed by early childhood experts at Fisher-Price®. Each 45-minute session, held on one of the onboard lounges, offers activities that expose children to new experiences and teach you how to make playtime learning time as well. Plus, your little one will be all smiles and giggles as they make new discoveries, sing, sway and play with great toys they're sure to love. A parent or caregiver MUST accompany children during all playgroup sessions.
Activities your Royal Tot might enjoy include:
- Crayola Beginnings Workshop Create early childhood memories at four new daytime Crayola Beginnings Workshops. During each 45-minute session, an Adventure Ocean counsellor reads a story to parents and children, and uses Crayola Beginnings products to teach toddlers how to create their first works of art.
- Fun On The Farm Join Little People® friends to explore connections between farm animals, the sounds they make and the ways they move.
- Terrific Trips Here you are, on a family holiday – what better time to share ideas with your child about places to see, things to do and different trips to take, both near and far from home.
- Out and About in the Neighbourhood Discover people and places in your neighbourhood, learning about familiar places, community helpers and transport while role-playing with Little People friends.
- Pirates and Princesses Calling all pirates and princesses! We'll take you on imaginative journeys to ancient times and faraway lands, enjoying pretend play with castles, pirates, stories and activities.
- Learning FUNdamentals Kids love to sing, dance and learn new things! We'll get them moving and singing as they learn A-B-C, 1-2-3, phonics, shapes, colours and more, with the help of learning toys, music, games and lots of other fun activities.
Teens 12 - 17 Years
Ages 12 - 14 Years
The best thing about the Teen programme is that it's not structured. The 12- to 14-year-old guests can come and join activities and games when they want to or just chill with friends in the teen-only lounge. And parents don't have to worry about you hanging out there – every member of Royal Caribbean's Adventure Ocean® staff holds a college degree in education, recreation or a related field and has experience working with children aged 3-17.
You and your friends can get airbrush tattoos on board! They last just long enough for you show them off to your friends back home.
Hours: Activities are scheduled throughout the day and early evening. The teen centre is open from 22:30 hrs to 02:00 hrs every night.
Activities young teens might enjoy include:
- Theme Nights Dress in your coolest whites at 'Dusk' and get your graffiti on at the 'Warehouse' theme night.
- Improv Games Quick. How many one-liners do you know? Test your wittiness with some improvisation.
- FlowRider® Be a dude for a day (or a week) and learn to surf on the surf simulator. (Available on selected ships.)
- Scratch DJ Academy Scratch, mix and spin with the masters so you can go home and impress your friends. (Available on selected ships.)
- Mocktail Competition Blend up a batch of your favourite beverages and enter your concoction in the contest.

Ages 15 - 17 Years
The Teen programme isn't a structured set of classes or rules. As you're almost an adult and it's your holiday, too. So Royal Caribbean gives you the freedom you deserve. You can join events all day or come and go as you want. Royal Caribbean has got great laid-back places where you can just chill with your new friends. Some of Royal Caribbean ships also have teen-only clubs where you can dance, listen to music or just hang out.
You can take home a mix CD of all of your favourite Karaoke tunes so you can share them with your friends.

Voyagers Ages 9 - 11 Years
The Voyagers programme is all about kids having a great time, learning new things and making new friends from all over the world. And you can be confident that your children are in very capable hands – every member of Royal Caribbean's Adventure Ocean® staff holds a college degree in education, recreation or a related field and has experience working with children aged 3-17.
Ben & Jerry's® is a great spot for the pre-teen set to meet up with new friends over some ice cream.
Hours: At Sea: 09:00 hrs to noon, 14:00 hrs to 17:00 hrs and 19:00 hrs to 22:00 hrs. In Port: Thirty minutes prior to the first shore excursion to 17:00 or return of the last shore excursion, 19:00 to 22:00
Activities your Voyagers might enjoy include:
- Adventure Science by High Touch High Tech: Conducted by the specially trained Adventure Scientists, this programme combines fun and hands-on science experiments. Featured programmes include: Fossil Fever, Volcanoes, Space Mud, The Power of the Sun Meteorology Madness, Buccaneers Bounty and The Mystery of the Motion of the Ocean.
- Adventure Art by Crayola® These activities acquaint children with diverse cultures through art. Children are introduced to mask making, fish kites and pottery. Crayola Adventure Art projects are specifically designed art activities for children of age 3-11. Using art as an avenue for exploration, the lesson plans provide a unique onboard experience for children, incorporating information about specific geographic locations with hands-on art. Crayola Art projects make creativity a part of every child's experience wherever they may travel.
- Adventure Theatre Blending educational activities with on-your-feet fun, Adventure Theatre participants get a first taste of the actor's craft, in which entire worlds are created with just their bodies, voices and imaginations. Using structured theatre games, vocal and physical exercises, and creativity-freeing activities, instructors guide groups through an exploration of the theatre arts.

Flow Rider
- Only Royal Caribbean gives you the chance to surf onboard a ship. The sloped, wavelike surface of the FlowRider is perfect for beginning, intermediate and advanced surfers. And the surrounding stadium seating and bar are great for surveying wipeouts. Try it out on the Freedom class ships.
- Who would ever think to put a surfing attraction onboard a ship? Well obviously, we would. The FlowRider surf simulator attracts hundreds of eager surfers and oglers to the aft sports court each day. Even guests who never thought they'd try something like this are giving it a go.
H2O Zone
- The H2O Zone integrates colorful sculptures around a series of sprinklers, jets and water canons that guests can use to soak each other. In the evening, it transforms into a beautifully lit sculpture garden.
